Chehalis –The Chehalis-Centralia Railroad is “Going Green” with shamrocks on March 13, and 17. The 2021 season of train rides begin with two dining events being offered. You are invited to enjoy a 2-hour excursion in the vintage 1920s dining car through the Chehalis River Valley to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day.
The dinner excursion takes place on Saturday, March 13, and on St. Patrick’s Day, Wednesday, March 17, at 5:00 pm. The event begins with fun and games and if you are LUCKY you will win a prize, so come prepared for some Irish Trivia! You will be ushered to your table by the event hostesses to enjoy a delicious dinner catered by Jeremy’s Farm to Table. When you purchase your tickets, can select from your choice of Roast Chicken with Irish Potatoes, or Veggie Pasta Alfredo. The 2-hour round trip excursion is sure to bring out the Irish in you, so wear your green to keep the leprechauns away.
Cost is $67 for Adults, and $37 for Children 3-13 years old. Due to the 25% capacity limit, only 35 seats are available. Tables of 2 and 4 are available, with two private dining rooms for up to 6 guests. Only one LUCKY family can enjoy private dining in the newly restored vintage coach on the Spokane, Portland, and Seattle (SP&S) 99 Business Coach, so get your tickets early. Reservations must be made five days prior to the departure date.
A Shamrock Family-Friendly train excursion is set for Saturday afternoon March 13, at 1:00 pm. There will be games and maybe a leprechaun or two may appear! Refreshments are served, and of course, they’ll be green! The cost is $25 per person for this round-trip, 1¼ ride to Milburn.
