Chehalis, WA – Experience Chehalis will celebrate Earth Day by hosting a community clean-up event on April 22 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The public is welcome and volunteers can check in at the Lewis County Historical Museum. Clean-ups will take place at various locations throughout the city encouraging community involvement in keeping the city clean and green.
The event is a partnership between Experience Chehalis, the City of Chehalis, and the Lewis County Historical Museum with support from local businesses and organizations. The event will involve volunteers cleaning up litter and debris from public areas, including parks and streets, and tending to downtown flowerbeds.
Volunteers will be provided with gloves, garbage bags, and other necessary equipment to ensure their safety and make the clean-up process as efficient as possible. Participants of all ages are welcome, and volunteers under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
The Chehalis Earth Day Community Clean-Up is an excellent opportunity for individuals, families, and businesses to get involved in making a positive impact in their community. “We are thrilled to be hosting the Chehalis Earth Day Community Clean-Up once again,” said executive director, Annalee Tobey. “It’s inspiring to see people come together to make our city a cleaner and more beautiful place to live.”
To make it a little more fun, Experience Chehalis will offer raffle tickets to volunteers towards downtown gift certificates and Earth Day-themed art by local artists. The drawing will take place at 2 p.m. and entrants need not be present to win.
Experience Chehalis asks volunteers to call 360-345-1738 to register. Those who register by April 10th will receive a free Experience Chehalis Earth Day t-shirt. For more information about the event and how to get involved, visit the event’s website at experiencechehalis.com/business/earth-day.
