It’s time to play ball! Stan Hedwall is well-known for its community ball friends and it a center for youth recreation in the community. Over 100 acres of forest and 100 acres of open meadows are available for play. Head down to the Newaukum River for a bit of fishing, rock-hounding or just relaxing on the shores. An open outdoor pavilion area offers a playground, volleyball court, and horseshoe pits. A covered shelter provides tables & benches, sinks, electrical lighting and outlets, and four wood-burning cookstoves for warming food. Take a walk along the three miles of trails, or come and stay a while . . . A 29-site RV area is also available and includes electric, cable and water hookups, picnic tables, fire pits in select sites, and restrooms with showers.
