Through the generous donations of eleven local businesses and the City of Chehalis, The Chehalis Community Renaissance Team has successfully received over $121,000 in donations through the Washington State Main Street B&O Tax Credit Incentive Program. 

“We are humbled and thankful for the local business and local government support that allows us to further our goal making Chehalis area a more attractive place in which to live, work and visit,” stated Annalee Tobey, Executive Director.  “The contributions from these donating participants will stay right here in Chehalis.”  Twelve participants have pledged donations to CCRT in 2019 as part of the B&O Tax Incentive Program.  These include Book ‘N’ Brush, Callisons, the City of Chehalis, Columbia Bank, Gallagher Restoration, Pacific Mobile Structures Inc., Puget Sound Energy, Rainier Connect, Security State Bank, Service Saw/Workwears Inc., Title Guaranty of Lewis County and Twin Cities Trading Post.

This program, unique to Washington State, provides a Business & Occupation (B&O) or Public Utility tax (PUT) credit for contributions given to eligible downtown Main Street Organizations.  The program allows businesses to donate to a Main Street program through the Department of Revenue.  The following year, donors will receive a B&O/PUT tax credit worth 75% of the contribution.  CCRT was designated one of Washington State’s 35 eligible Main Street communities in 2014.
