The public is invited to attend a farewell reception for City of Chehalis City Manager Jill Anderson on Tuesday, April 16, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. in the City Council Chambers. A formal recognition ceremony will take place at the City Council Meeting on April 8, 2024, at 5:00 p.m.

City Manager Anderson was appointed to the position of City Manager in 2016 and relocated to Chehalis after a successful career as a City Manager in Riverbank, California, and Assistant City Manager of Seaside, California.
Some completed projects during Jill’s tenure with Chehalis were:
- Â Water Rights Acquisition Advancement to Secure Water Resources to Serve Future Development in Chehalis
- Effective Leadership of the City’s Response to the COVID-19 Pandemic
- Careful oversight of hiring, promotions, terminations, and resolution of work-related issues
- Updates to the Subdivision Code and Comprehensive Plan
- Oversight and Completion of a long-term temporary/interim Fire Station
- Emergency Management Services Levy
- Recreation Park Improvement Project
- Continuation of Successful Partnerships with Chehalis Foundation, Chamber of Commerce, and Experience Chehalis to Accomplish Projects Beyond the City’s Scope and Financial Abilities
Jill has maintained a steadfast passion for Chehalis and has helped to move many projects forward for the betterment of the residents within the City. She has remained dedicated to the vision and mission of the City of Chehalis throughout her tenure. The reception will be an opportunity for the community to wish Jill and
her husband, Rick, well in their new endeavors.
