What started as a very generous donation to United Ways across the state of Washington from Seattle-based Georgetown Brewing Company, United Way of Lewis County has leveraged into a new relief fund for restaurant and bar employees; Lewis County’s Restaurant & Bar Employees Relief Fund. In partnership with Experience Chehalis (formerly named Chehalis Community Renaissance Team) and the Centralia Downtown Association, this fund supports local restaurant and bar industry employees experiencing hardship in the wake of the COVID-19 outbreak. A total of 115, $250 VISA gift cards were awarded to individuals who have worked in the Lewis County restaurant and bar industry in 2020.
