On October 18 and 19, the Pumpkin Trains depart the depot on Saturday and Sunday at 11:30 am, 1:00 pm, and 2:30 pm. Children, as well as adults, are encouraged to wear costumes and help create a fun-filled Halloween atmosphere. All excursions are approximately 60 minutes long. Goodie bags of treats and pumpkins are ready for eager children under age 12. The cost is $19 per person for those 6 years and older, $15 for children 3-5 years, and free for children 2 and under. Seating is first-come, first-served. Food trucks and coffee stands will be on-site. Spin the wheel with Operation Lifesaver and learn about train safety. The scenic historic train ride will take passengers on a 14-mile round-trip excursion through the Chehalis River Valley. Reservations and tickets are online at SteamTrainRide.com.
