Beautification Micro-Grant Program

Beautification Micro-Grant for Downtown Businesses

Experience Chehalis offer a beautification micro-grant program to provide matching grant funds for the enhancement of Downtown Chehalis.  The grant program aims to leverage Experience Chehalis’s investment in the beautification efforts downtown, stimulate private investment, and enhance the pedestrian environment.

This program will be offered to downtown business and property owners who desire to make small-scale improvements to the façade of their buildings. Eligible façade expenses may include, but are not limited to, landscaping (soil, flower pots, etc.), signage, sandwich boards, art, exterior lighting, exterior cleaning, and window storefront display improvements that are visible from rights-of-way.

The grants are intended to help downtown businesses and property owners improve the fronts of their buildings. The grants covers expenses at 75% up to $250 per business or property, for approved improvement costs.  Applications will be accepted for as long as funding is available each year. Grant awards will be first-come, first-served and based on available funding.  Applications are now being accepted and will be reviewed and awarded by Experience Chehalis.

The goal of the program is to enhance the physical image of the downtown as a quality place to shop, work, walk, invest in, and live.  The micro-grants are created as a complement to Experience Chehalis’ existing $2,500 matching façade improvement grant program.
