A summer celebration tradition – ChehalisFest is July 27, 2019

The Chehalis Community Renaissance Team hosts the annual summer celebration, ChehalisFest, each year on the last Saturday of July. This event features activities for kids and families, car fanatics and folks of all ages throughout the day in locations across the community.

The day kicks off with the annual blueberry pancake breakfast at the Lewis County Historical Museum and a hot dog lunch is served.  The Museum will also host a wide array of local vendors and will feature Live 95’s Wonder Car.

Take the kids to the Boys & Girls Club’s KidZone on Chehalis Ave, near Security State Bank, for games and fun including festivities such as a watermelon seed spitting contest, bubble fun, balloon animals, chalk art and more!  Shankz and Bethel Church will have inflatables out for play and snow cones to enjoy.

Out at the Chehalis Airport, kids will love the Young Eagles flights offered free to kids ages 8-17.  In addition to the flights, there will also be aviation STEM activities, a fire engine display, food vendors and more.

Yes, Downtown Chehalis will be buzzing with summer fun!  Shops and boutiques will offer incredible discounts and sidewalk sales, beer sampling, game tournaments and more.  From sweet to savory,  food trucks and vendors will be downtown, so come hungry!  Our local ARTrails artists will offer specialty goods and locally crafted items on Market Boulevard.

Adults can head to Market Street Pub & Grill’s beer garden and enjoy local bands from noon to midnight singing the best of classic rock and country tunes.

This event is made possible each year thanks to generous sponsors. 2019 sponsors included Advocate Printing, Book N Brush, Boys & Girls Club of Chehalis, The City of Chehalis, Lewis County Historical Museum, Port of Chehalis, and the Veterans Memorial Museum.
