Chehalis WA. – Due to popular demand, the Chehalis-Centralia Railroad & Museum has announced they will begin their train ride excursions two months earlier than usual this year. The Railroad invites friends, families, and railfans to buy “limited capacity” tickets now to enjoy the weekend excursions every Saturday, beginning April 10, at 1:00 pm and 3:00 pm. Excursions fares are $13-$18, with 2 and under free. On May 30, Saturday evening rides at 5:00 pm and Sunday excursions at 1:00 and 3:00 pm will commence and run throughout the Summer months.

The first Dinner Train of the year will be served on April 17th from 5:00-7:00 pm.  New 2-person tables have been added to accommodate more diners with social distancing protocol. The cost is $67 for Adults, and $37 for Children 3-13 years old. Tables of 2 and 4 are available, with two private dining rooms for up to 6 guests.  One family group can enjoy private dining in the newly restored vintage coach on the Spokane, Portland, and Seattle (SP&S) 99 Business Coach. Dinner reservations must be made five days prior to the departure date.

A ride on the Chehalis-Centralia Railroad is a pleasant, scenic, and relaxing 1-2 hour journey back into history. Ride the historic train through the Chehalis River Valley. Coaches from the 1920s provide indoor and outside seating. Premier seating (reserve seats online) has been added this year in the newly renovated Spokane, Portland & Seattle (#99 business railcar) which CCR&M acquired 4 years ago. The vintage (circa 1950’s) décor in the parlor, dining room, and staterooms will have you thinking you have taken a giant step back in time.

In compliance with Washington State guidelines and restrictions, trains will be limited capacity and the social distancing requirement will be requested. Extra precautions have been taken with vaccines, crew health screenings, masks, and sanitizing our facilities to minimize the virus risk.

Relax and enjoy the sights and sounds of railroading as it used to be. The train departs from the railroad depot located in Chehalis at 1101 SW Sylvenus Street, across from the Veterans Memorial Museum.  Please arrive ½ hour before departure time. Be sure to stop by the gift shop. Parking is free. Online reservations are recommended as seating is limited. Walk-up only on space available.  Visit SteamTrainRide.com.
