Due to the resignation of Councilmember Jerry Lord, effective November 6, 2023, the Chehalis City Council has one vacancy.

The current vacancy represents District 1 and will fill the remainder of the term until the next electi   Interviews for the vacancy will be conducted by the remaining Council members during a special meeting on January 18, 2024, and the selected applicant will be sworn in during the Council’s regular meeting of January 22, 2024 to fill the unexpired term.  Individuals interested in filling the vacant position must have been a resident of the city for at least one year and a registered voter and with a current residence within District 1 boundaries and submit a completed application by the required deadline.

Applications are available at the Chehalis City Clerk’s Office located at 350 N. Market Boulevard, Room 101, Chehalis, WA 98532 or on the City’s website at www.ci.chehalis.wa.us.  Applications will be accepted in person, by mail, or via email to kmackie@ci.chehalis.wa.us  by 2:00 pm on Thursday, January 11, 2024.  Questions may be directed to the City Clerk’s Office at 360-345-1042 or kmackie@ci.chehalis.wa.us.
