CALL FOR ARTISTS:  Chehalis Postcard Project

The Chehalis Community Renaissance Team (CCRT) is facilitating the creation of a series of Chehalis-themed postcards.  Our local retailers are often asked for this item and currently, there is little to no availability of postcards representing Chehalis.  CCRT aims to create a line of cards to be offered for purchase at wholesale costs to local businesses who have agreed to participate in this pilot project.  CCRT is seeking design proposals for postcards from local artists and designers with the following specifications:

  • Dimensions: 4 in. x 6 in.
  • Digital submissions only
  • Limit ten designs per submission

CCRT is asking artists and designers to incorporate ideas including photography of Chehalis, artistic designs representing Chehalis, and/or the use of historic/vintage photographs.  The designs should represent our Chehalis community.  Designs including political and religious themes will not be considered.  Compensation of $100 will be provided for each design selected.  Artist will be responsible for all costs associated with creation of the submission.  Artwork will be used for postcard production only.  CCRT may consider the production of other items utilizing selected designs, but this would involve additional permission by the artist and compensation for design use.   Postcards will include credit to artist.

To be considered for the postcard project, please submit the following by October 8, 2021:

  • Basic Information. Provide your name, mailing address, phone number and email.
  • Artist Profile. Tell us about yourself! Submit a short bio outlining your experience as an artist.
  • Postcard designs

Please submit the information requested to info@experiencechehalis.com by the submission deadline of October 8, 2021.  Selected designs will be announced no later than October 22, 2021.
