Spring Clean Up Event Offers Free Residential Dumping for Chehalis Residents

The City of Chehalis, in partnership with Experience Chehalis, hosted their first free residential cleanup event on May 20-21, 2023. Dumpsters were set up in four locations for Chehalis city residents to dispose of household refuse. The drop-off sites are staffed from 9 am – 6 pm by Experience Chehalis volunteers.

Dumpsters will be placed at the following locations:

Chehalis Eagles parking lot
1993 S Market Blvd.

Stan Hedwall Park
1501 Rice Rd.

The former Cascade School parking lot
SW 3rd St and SW Cascade Ave.

Near the Chehalis Fire Station on State Ave.
1300 Block of State Ave.

The city also provides free organic waste disposal at Stan Hedwall Park on May 20 only.

Items not accepted include: appliances, tires, paint, batteries, or chemicals of any kind. For more information on disposing of these items, please contact Lewis County Solid Waste. The dumpsters have limited capacity so when a dumpster is full, that location will be closed for the remainder of the event. This event is open to City of Chehalis residents only.
