Earth Day Activities Planned in Downtown Chehalis on April 26

Downtown Chehalis invites the public to celebrate Earth Day with two special community activities. On April 26th, Experience Chehalis will host its community clean-up event at the Lewis County Historical Museum, while Natural Nurture Farmacy presents its annual Earth Day celebration with activities and free family fun on Boistfort Street.

Experience Chehalis’s Earth Day Community Clean-up will take place from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Volunteers can check in at the Lewis County Historical Museum and choose from a list of activities, including picking up litter throughout Chehalis, beautifying the streets, and contributing to the overall cleanliness of Downtown Chehalis. Experience Chehalis asks volunteers to call 360-345-1738 or email info@experiencechehalis.com to register.  Those who register by April 9th will receive a free Experience Chehalis Earth Day t-shirt. Participate for an hour or the whole event!

Just down the street, Nature Nurture Farmacy, will be offering a free, family-friendly Earth Day celebration filled with activities and educational opportunities on Boistfort Street from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Attendees can expect gardening demos and advice, farmers selling plant starts, and activities and information booths from local businesses and organizations, including Fungi Perfecti. Live music will set the tone for a lively and enjoyable atmosphere throughout the day.

“We are excited to come together as a community to celebrate Earth Day,” said Annalee Tobey, Executive Director of Experience Chehalis. “By participating in the community clean-up and attending the Earth Day celebration, we can demonstrate our commitment to a healthy and sustainable future. We invite everyone to join us for a day of fun, learning, and making a positive impact on our planet.”
