The Chehalis Flying Saucer Party is an annual event in Chehalis, Washington, celebrating the region's unique UFO history. The 2026 event is scheduled for September 11-12. Activities include guest speakers, live music, film screenings, an art show and exhibits at the Lewis County Historical Museum.
The event commemorates the 1947 sighting by pilot Kenneth Arnold, who reported seeing nine "flying discs" near Mount Rainier after departing from Chehalis, coining the term "flying saucer."
