Experience Chehalis Eradicates Graffiti

Graffiti is a crime.  It is costly and destructive. Unaddressed, it can send a message that the community is not concerned about the appearance of its neighborhoods.  It can generate a perception of crime, increase fear, lower property values, hurt business revenue, and be economically detrimental to the city.  Graffiti can be seen as a sign of urban decay.

Experience Chehalis addresses graffiti in the City of Chehalis through the Graffiti Busters program.  Developed in 2023, volunteers respond to reports of graffiti on public and private property throughout the city, at no cost to the owner.  Projects are on a case-by-case basis. Grafitti is either removed or painted.
