Established Chehalis-Based Business Will Set Up Shop in Pemerl Building

The Port of Chehalis is pleased to announce a lease agreement with new port tenant Mt. Capra of Chehalis. Mt. Capra is expanding their operations and moving into the
Pemerl Building in the Chehalis Industrial Park.

“Mt. Capra is planning to use the port facility to bottle and package goat milk products from our farm. We will be packaging milk powder, protein, minerals, colostrum, and a variety of other wholefood Nutritionals. We have a large online presence and plan to do our pick, pack, and shipping and other fulfillment related activities from that location as well,” says Mt. Capra President Joe Stout.

According to their website, “Mt. Capra is a small, family-run farm in the Pacific Northwest which, for nearly a century, has been producing premium goat milk products and nutritional whole
foods. Our grass-fed goats graze on pesticide free and chemical free forage 365 days a year. No hormones or antibiotics are used to increase production.”

The goats that produce the protein for Mt. Capra products live on the family farm in Centralia and are owned by the same company (Mt. Capra) that processes the milk and other protein into
nutritional products here in Chehalis, where company operations are located. The company has a retail storefront at 448 N Market Blvd in downtown Chehalis, and also sells products online at
MtCapra.com.

Mt. Capra will be expanding operations in our state-of-the-art warehouse building, the Pemerl Building, located in the Port of Chehalis off of Maurin Road on McBride Court. The Pemerl Building was a $1.8 million project, completed in 2019, by Kaufman Construction & Development of Tumwater. The Pemerl Building project was funded by the Port of Chehalis, the Lewis County .09 Distressed County Fund, and the TransAlta Economic and Community Development Board.
