Pedestrian kiosks inform visitors to Chehalis

Experience Chehalis (formerly named the Chehalis Community Renaissance Team) installed six pedestrian kiosks throughout the city in May 2012.

The kiosks are located at the Lewis County Historical Museum, Recreation Park, the Veterans Memorial Museum, the Vernetta Smith Chehalis Timberland Library, the Chehalis-Centralia Railroad & Museum and near the corner of Market Boulevard and Boistfort Street.

The kiosks guide visitors to the city’s attractions, parks, historic districts, walking trails and government offices.

The kiosks, constructed by Chehalis-Centralia Airport staff, are double-sided. One side features a map with locations, while the other side has a brief statement about each location.  Smartphone tags were added for each location, and also for local dining, lodging and events.
