Young Professionals Lewis County (YPLC) is a group of young professionals who are driven to make a positive change in Lewis County as they become the leaders of tomorrow. YPLC was organized by Experience Chehalis in 2010 in order to connect young people in a networking setting. The program was included in the original Chehalis Renaissance Plan. The plan specifically states:
If Chehalis is to continue to develop, it must reverse the outmigration of promising young adults and integrate in-migrating young professionals and households by effectively involving them in and eventually handing over leadership roles in local public service efforts, community building organizations, and the Chehalis Renaissance program in particular.
As a non-profit, all-volunteer organization, YPLC is dedicated to attracting and retaining professionals in the Lewis County area. They are made up of motivated, energetic young professionals, certain to become the community’s future leaders.
YPLC offers its members a way to link their personal passions with professional ambitions. The group is the one professional, civic and social organization that drives positive and real change in Lewis County, while giving young professionals a chance to make a significant impact in the community.
